Clarity was developed to help schools collect data quickly in order to make important decisions regarding technology use. The SaaS data analytics platform is designed to analyze current technology use, assess the best route for each school, provide feedback, deliver a recommendations for moving forward, and analyze the results. CASE, which is the framework that Clarity employs, was founded on decades of research and stands for “Classroom, Access, Skills, Environment.” These four domains are designed to create a more targeted approach to their data collection. The data collected from each school is both qualitative and quantitative and is combined with research, case studies, and best practices to deliver solutions to the participating school.
The Clarity platform was created by a team of data scientists, statisticians, and educators, and combines both internal and external data to provide comprehensive results to schools. As of late 2013, Clarity was in use in more than 2,000 schools in the US and was available for education service agencies, public schools, and private schools.
