CanFigureIt Geometry allows students to solve geometry proofs online. Teachers assign proofs, and students complete them using the CanFigureIt proving tools.
IMPLEMENTATION
Teachers use CanFigureIt to assign geometry proofs to their students. The CanFigureIt library of proofs is searchable by learning standard, geometry theorem, or topic. Once the proofs are assigned, a dashboard allows teachers to track their students’ progress through the work.
Students use CanFigureIt to complete proofs step by step. The program provides a visual figure that outlines the problem, as well as the standard “given” and “to prove” information. Students proceed through the steps of the proof, justifying each step along the way by selecting a theorem from the CanFigureIt bank of theorems and definitions. When a theorem itself requires more information, for instance with claiming two triangles are congruent due to the side-angle-side theorem, students must specifically input the required information before the program accepts justification (in this example, typing in which sides of each triangle are equal to each other).
If they need help, CanFigureIt provides hints and feedback on work, as well as a glossary of terms and theorems. The program does not provide actual geometry instruction, but is meant as a practice tool for proofs.

Are you a teacher or administrator who has used this product? Be the first to share your experiences with others by writing a Case Study:
1 work out some of the bugs. I except that will be a work in progress.
2. Give the students a way to remove statements that they discover are not nessacary to the proof.
3. Sorry I don't...
