Bloomz is a teacher-parent communication tool for pre-K to 8th grade classes. It allows parents to receive real time notifications about class activity updates and other information through the mobile app or e-mail. The product is free for teachers and parents, but school pricing was not disclosed.
Teachers first sign up on Bloomz, create a virtual classroom and send invitations to parents to join the classroom. In the virtual classroom, teachers may share class updates/pictures and send reminders of assignment due dates. They may also schedule parent meetings, attach permission slips and request/sign up parent volunteers. Communication can be done in groups or in private messages.
Once parents join the classroom, they can receive real time notifications in the app or through e-mail if they haven’t registered on Bloomz.
Bloomz is available on native iPhone, iPad and Android apps, as well as on any modern browser.
Bloomz is free for teachers and parents, and they gain full access to all features of the product. School pricing was not disclosed.
