Usage: I would use it as another resource to gather lesson planning ideas.

Strengths: Again, I do not have a total understanding of the product but my understanding with my discussion with the rep was that sources used for their repository were inconsistent in quality and/or format.

Suggestions for Improvement: 1. The lesson resources collected are more consistent in terms of format and quality. 2. Is the interface useful for a teacher or a student? It remains unclear. 3. This just seems to be another website that links to other websites. I would use Activate Instruction as another resource, nothing else.

Verdict: After speaking to rep, my understanding of the product was that it was a repository for lesson planning resources from other sources. She mentioned that Summit Schools was a good place to go for Common Core Language Arts and Math. I don't know much about the product to recommend it or advise against it.

Usage: organize playlist for math. collect videos, and maybe some text from me. along with required exercises. and then link to assessments in illuminate

Strengths: easy to use. free. seems to address the big issue of organizing the chaos. and the staff seem very enthusiastic.

Suggestions for Improvement: Find some way, any way, to help students better engage in the writing (and rewriting) process. add facility for teachers to create online content, that is, problems and acceptable answers, and students answer on line. maybe do a tie in with Exit Ticket. They have great on line problems, but no videos or content

Verdict: easy to use. free. effective in getting students to the various different places they need to go online. and then tie everything into illuminate
