We were looking for a creative way to bring career & university exploration into our classrooms. As an international school, our geographic location makes in-person visits difficult.
Product Use: We organised a virtual university fair for our high school students. They were able to meet with students and representatives from a variety of universities in Europe. We have also set up 20-minute sessions to discuss a variety of careers with people in their field. Fields represented have been film production, economics, bio-medicine, and IT. We are also using the 100 Mentors platform to reach out to our alumni in order to have them act as mentors for our current students.
What Worked and What Didn't: The university fair was mildly successful. The sessions with practitioners in various fields has been very successful and well received by our students and teachers. We are really in the beginning phase of using 100 Mentors to develop our Alumni network. The platform makes it easy to send emails and email reminders to our alumnae, but getting them to get on board has proven more challenging.
