The Orange County Public School system in Florida is the 10th largest district in the US, and the 4th largest district in the state of Florida.

Florida's Orange County Public School district, based in Orlando, FL, is the 10th largest school district in the US and the 4th largest district in the state. It includes 120 elementary schools (79,100 students), three K-8 schools (2,800 students), 34 middle schools (37,200 students), 19 high schools (48,900 students), four "exceptional" schools (570 students) and 10,400 students engaged in alternative or charter schools. That makes the total student population of the district approximately 179,000 students.

Approximately 64% of those students are white; 38% are black, 4% are Asian, 3% are multicultural, and 1% are American Indian or Native Alaskan. Students speak a total of 162 different languages and come from 212 countries. The school system is also the second largest employer in the state of Florida. (It employs almost 22,000 people, on both full and part-time basis.)
