Spark is looking for professionals to host middle school students in workplace-based apprenticeships in the SF Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Philadelphia. It's perfect for anyone interested in mentoring students and teaching skills like making video games, designing iPhone/Android apps, drafting business plans, and/or just being generally awesome. Through 1:1 apprenticeships, mentors expose students to STEM and business careers and give them the skills and resources they'll need to pursue any profession. Spark staff will provide training and regular check-ins to support the program. The 8-week program takes place in the fall and spring, one day per week, 2 hours in the afternoon, usually at your workplace.
