nytEducation NYC Summer Academy
Apr 15, 2016
nytEducation, The School of The New York Times, is gearing up for the start of its NYC Summer Academy, a program designed for highly motivated and talented high school students that offers participants the opportunity to live and learn in NYC this summer.
Structured around two-week sessions that draw on the expertise and unrivaled access of The New York Times, this unique program encourages students to take their learning out of the classroom and into the world. Working with award-winning journalists from The Times and expert practitioners from across the city, students will learn firsthand how ideas take shape, forming the industries of today and the creative enterprises of tomorrow.
When students apply to join the program, they choose between two distinct program types – Explorations and Intensives.
NYC Summer Academy students will be housed in university dormitory facilities in Lincoln Center, one of the city’s great arts and culture hubs. With easy access to Central Park, Times Square and the Hudson River, it’s the perfect starting point to explore everything the city has to offer.
The deadline to apply is April 15.
