Next Generation Learning Challenges Wave IV Grants
Apr 22, 2013
The Next Generation Learning Challenges is accepting proposals for Wave IV Grants totalling $12 million for two categories. Twenty “launch grants,” each offering a guaranteed $150K with up to an additional $300K available in 1:1 matching funds, will go to support “breakthrough” schools serving grades 6 to 12 that will open in Fall 2013 or 2014. Thirty “Breakthrough School Planning” grants of $100K each will go to schools planning to open in Fall 2014 or 2015. The NGLC blog has more info about how it defines “breakthrough” and its thinking behind its fourth wave of grants. Sounds like a tall order, so make sure to check out profiles and videos of the previous 20 breakthrough school models. Two deadlines: April 22 and December 2.
