On May 2, 2016, the Small Business Administration released its 2016 request for applications for awards up to $50,000 through its Growth Accelerator Competition. Applications are due June 3


The competition provides awards of up to $50K to accelerators around the country to help start-ups grow, become commercially viable, and have a real and sustained social and economic impact. See the application below. 


The U.S. Department of Education’s SBIR program, operated out of the Institute of Education Sciences, is participating in this year’s Growth Accelerator Competition through a topic on education research.


 Applications to the Education Technology Research Topic are required to include plans to utilize up to $50,000 to strengthen accelerator’s capacity to support small businesses in conducting scientific research to develop and to evaluate technology products that support student learning, teacher instruction, or school administration.
