BoomStartup's EdTech 2015 accelerator program is purpose built for education technology startups.

Technology driven innovations are changing the face of education – making it more engaging, more personal, more relevant, and enabling learning to happen anywhere. Our companies will help drive and accelerate this disruption and transformation. Ideal candidates for this program will have innovative ideas that help to lead this shift, and have the potential to make a large impact in the education community.

Application deadline: June 1, 2015

Program dates: July 6 - October 8, 2015

We surround our startup companies with BoomStartup’s extensive mentor network of investors, serial entrepreneurs, subject matter experts, and EdTech advisors, which include power hitters from big names in education, such as Pearson, McGraw Hill, Instructure, Microsoft, and Western Governors University. At the end of the program, startups pitch to an extensive pool of venture capitalists and angel investors to raise capital. Our last EdTech company raised over $1 million by the end of the program. BoomStartup was rated the #12 accelerator in the U.S. last year, and has helped its companies raise over $15 million in seed capital.

A handful of select EdTech startups will be chosen for this 12-week intensive program, which will help them find an optimal business model, create a minimal viable product that is revenue-ready, execute into revenue generation, and make connections to customers and investors. Startup companies receive $20k seed investment, office space, and over $100k of services, such as hosting, marketing, legal, and financial services.

The EdTech program will be held in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Impact Hub headquarters. Salt Lake City has a thriving startup scene – in fact, it was named number 11 in “The 25 Best U.S. Cities for Tech Startups,” published by Entrepreneur magazine. Utah is home to a healthy ecosystem of successful EdTech companies, including Pluralsight, Instructure, Mastery Connect, True North Logic, School Improvement Network, Kimono, and Degreed.
