Seeking Text Messaging Platform for Study about College Transition Messages in GEAR UP
Does your company have a text messaging platform that allows for two-way and customized communications?
Abt Associates is inviting proposals from vendors to provide a text messaging platform as part of a large-scale evaluation of approaches that support students as they transition to college. The chosen vendor’s platform and services will support sending two-way, customized text messages. The text messaging will take place from 2016 through 2018, covering about 3,000 high school graduates in two waves. The text messages will:
- Remind students about key tasks related to enrolling and persisting in college;
- Connect students to advisors to access additional support; and
- Provide strategies to addresses novel and challenging situations.
The study will be conducted within the federal college access program, Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP). The demonstration study is sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences in the U.S. Department of Education, in collaboration with Office of Postsecondary Education.
Abt Associates is accepting proposals through November 6, 2015 at 3 PM ET.
All inquiries and questions about this Request for Proposals must be submitted in writing by email to Kathleen McArthur by 3 PM ET on October 28, 2015, with “GEAR UP Texting” in the subject line.
