Salesforce Announces Mobile App for Advising at Dreamforce

Oct 4, 2016

ADVISING GOES MOBILE: San Francisco software company Salesforce announced an advising application aimed at helping colleges reduce student attrition. Called Advisor Link, students can use the app to connect with advisors, make appointments and track their journey to graduation. The mobile app built on top of Salesforce’s CRM will be available in 2017, according to Salesforce, which revealed the product at its annual Dreamforce conference today.

Salesforce is attempting to connect all the pieces of advising, from the institution and its advising community to the student experience. Salesforce earlier in 2016 released Higher Education Data Architecture, an open architecture that helps schools set up Salesforce out of the box. These tools are part of Salesforce’s higher education offerings in recruiting, analytics and engagement.
