Engrade Raises $3 Million

Engrade: $3 million to Santa Monica, CA-based Engrade in round led by Rethink Education, with NewSchools Venture Fund and investors Greg Gunn, Zac Zeitlin, and Richard Chino participating. Engrade, founded in 2003 by a high school student who built an online gradebook, now offers a suite of classroom management tools. It boasts 4.5 million users across the U.S. and counts the NYC Department of Education and KIPP among them. Matthew Greenfield of Rethink Education joined the board.
