Edtech Election Update: What do Hillary and Jeb Say About Education?

Back in April, when the 2016 Presidential election was just getting started, we put on our political reporting hats and described the views of the earliest candidates. Two months later, things are infinitely more complicated: With 16 candidates now officially in the running (and more on the way), we realized we were out of our depth. It was time to bring in an expert to explain education and edtech's role in the election.

Brandon Wright is just such an expert. Brandon is a managing editor and policy associate at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute in Washington, DC. Since April, he has been compiling a series of articles detailing candidates' views on education. He sat down with us to chat about education's role in the wider election, the views of several of the top candidates and whether anyone is specifically mentioning edtech.

Let us know your thoughts on education and the election: Shoot us an email at feedback@edsurge.com (remember, not a garbage email) or tweet us @EdSurge. W'd love to hear your thoughts!
