​Netflix CEO Donates $2M to Expand Rocketship Schools

REFUELING THE ROCKET: On February 20, Reed Hastings, founder and CEO of Netflix, announced a $2 million donation to San Jose, CA-based Rocketship Education, to expand its charter school network in the Bay Area over the next three years. The gift announces the start of a $17 million fundraising project to fund expansion through the 2017-2018 school year, according to a press release. Rocketship now operates eleven schools in California, Milwaukee and Nashville--a number may skyrocket in the next few years.
