New Report From TNTP Says Blended Learning Teachers Need New Set of Skills

Nov 12, 2014

HUMAN CAPITAL REMIX: According to a new report from The New Teacher Project (TNTP), blended learning will impact more than just the students. It should impact the skills teachers have, the way districts hire those teachers and how they continue to develop their skills. TNTP suggests blended learning teachers can choose from three new roles (the guide, the integrator and the researcher/developer), which allows for differentiated career pathways. According to TNTP these new competencies should change the way districts hire and evaluate teacher talent. A tool kit of resources for administrators is included, such as sample interview questions, talent assessment surveys and new teacher observation rubrics all focused around supporting and finding the right talent for blended learning classrooms.
