FROM KHAN, TO COLLEGE: This week Khan Academy released a new set of videos focusing on the college admissions process. (It's part of the 100 commitments U.S. President Obama announced in January 2014 to increase college access for low income students.) The Mountain View, CA-based nonprofit has been focused on providing materials to increase college access. In March 2014 Khan Academy partnered with College Board to create and share practice problems for the new version of the SAT to be released in 2015-16 school year.
Khan Academy's 100 new videos will cover questions such how to pick and apply to the right school, how to become an attractive candidate, how to pay, and finally, how to make the final decision. All these videos include personal stories from students, admissions officers, and even Sal Khan himself.
