Online Learning Consortium, Unizin, Launches

Jun 17, 2014

JOIN THE CLUB: InsideHigherEd takes an in-depth look at Unizin, a consortium of universities that will use a common technology infrastructure to host course content, online teaching tools, and analytics service. It’s a members-only club that, according to e-Literate blogger Michael Feldstein, has a $1 million fee (as well as the same name as a popular mythical villain in Japan). According to Unizin’s website: “By pop culture comparison, Unizin is the ‘Intel Inside’ behind the great brands of its members,” which currently includes Colorado State University, the University of Florida, Indiana University and the University of Michigan.
