Boundless Crowdsources Educators to Create Content

Apr 22, 2014

CROWD-SOURCED, CLOUD-SOURCED: Today, higher ed textbook platform Boundless announced that they are inviting educators to edit their content. According to Boundless rep Kevin Leahy, the educator community can create content on the Boundless platform, and Boundless's editorial team actively "approves/makes sure that content is valid." The Boundless site refers to it as an "open call for collaboration," doing for textbooks what Wikipedia did for encyclopedias. Additionally, Boundless also revamped their platform to be completely cloud-based. Referred to as "cloud-powered," the site now features cloud-based textbooks, teaching resources, data reports, and community boards. Get more info here.
