Booktrack Raises $3M

Apr 10, 2014

BOOKTRACK: San Francisco-based Booktrack raised a $3 million A round. It was led by Sparkbox Venture with participation from existing investors Valar Ventures and Park Road Associates Ltd. Booktrack, founded in 2010, had earlier raised $2 million from investors, including Peter Thiel. The company plans to open "Booktrack Classroom," with the new funding. The company is rolling out a classroom product, "Booktrack Classroom" that aims to improve reading and writing skills by having the students interact with ebooks.

Editor's note: Oops. This piece originally had the geography backwards. Booktrack is indeed based in SF, with a lovely New Zealand office (not the other way around).
