Quipper Raises $5.8 Million

QUIPPER: London-based Quipper, which has a mobile platform that delivers bite-size lessons and multiple-choice questions, raised a $5.8 million Series A2 round of funding. The investment was led by London-based VC firm, Atomico (led by Skype co-founder Niklas Zennström). The round included Japanese publisher Benesse among unnamed others. Quipper has raised a total of $10 million. The company says it its services have been used by 8.5 million people. It was started in 2010 by social game company, DeNA cofounder, Masayuki Watanabe.
