Study Finds That Tablets Increase Homework Completion by 29%

Jan 9, 2014

TACTICAL MEASURES: Points to the tablet world! Project Tomorrow and Kajeet for Education recently conducted the Making Learning Mobile Project, a study of mobile learning among 136 fifth graders at Falconer Elementary School and 130 eighth graders at Stone Middle School during the 2012-13 year. Results show that students’ approach to work improved across the board. In October 2012, 56% of fifth grade students reported that they used their tablet to do Internet research; that number increased to 93% by May. Tablet-based homework rose, too, from 45% (October) to 74% (May). KQED looks at the teacher techniques behind this data.
