Innovate NYC Students Vote for Best School Choice App

Nov 12, 2013

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE: Innovate NYC Schools launched the School Choice Design Challenge, a hackathon to improve school choice for NYC students entering high school, on September 17th. Eighth graders in New York City have over 700 program options, and this fall, six companies (FindtheBest, InsideSchools, Noodle Education, Unigo, Admitted.ly, and Vital.AI) engaged in research, panels, and user feedback sessions to design new school choice experiences.

On November 12, an expert panel of four high school students took their seats in a packed house at General Assembly to view the demos, ask questions, and to vote on which app they liked best. After deliberating in a private room, the panel of student judges voted FindtheBest as the most user friendly app for high school choice.
