ScootPad Raises $1M in Seed Round

SCOOTPAD: $1 million to Milpitas, CA-based ScootPad in a seed round; this is an updated total from the $600K announced in February. investors included Brad Buss, Michael Tate, John Keller, Ron Jankov, Abe Korgav and Roland Cortes. Palm Ventures' Managing Director and former NYC Schools Chancellor, Harold Levy, will join the company's advisory board. ScootPad offers a suite of adaptive math and reading content, assessments and reporting tools for grades K-5. Since its founding in 2011, the startup reports users in over 27,000 schools across 8,000 districts. More details in the press release.
