High Achievers. When your entire middle school ranks in the 99th percentile for growth on the national NWEA MAP Reading assessment, you know you're doing something right.

Each of the four blended-learning classes in 5th through 8th grade at St. Therese Academy in Seattle fought their way to the top percentile in growth for the school year 2012-13. Their ELA and Social Studies teachers credit a deep integration between in-class activities and Achieve3000's digital program with helping boost students' reading levels. EdSurge's Matt Bowman wrote a step-by-step rundown of their approach earlier this year, when he was advising the foundation that helped launch the school's blended program.
