VP of Statewide and Strategic Partnerships

Savvas Learning - Remote - Full time

This role will be responsible for leading the development and execution of Savvas statewide partnerships. In this role, you will represent Savvas Learning Company to key influencers in specific key states. You will quickly build and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and have an outstanding sales record in education.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute highly effective relationship-building plans with key government officials, lawmakers, and regulators, fostering strong partnerships to influence legislation and shape regulatory decisions.
  • Work closely with the State Board of Education to understand and influence state adoption criteria and the submission and review process.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for various industry institutions; Leverage these relationships to gather information on competitive issues, market dynamics, market service needs, and company position in the industry.
  • Exude knowledge of each curriculum area to converse comfortably and influence; effectively communicates the major features, advantages, and benefits of each product; Display a thorough knowledge of state and local adoption timelines in order to be at the right place at the right time.
  • Help to frame sales strategy by providing the context of political background and goals to business leaders.
  • Pursue an ongoing understanding of the K12 market access strategies to penetrate states and define growth strategies for existing states.
  • Navigate complex landscapes adeptly, identifying and mitigating risks through proactive measures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Be responsive to the increase in complexity for issues managed by this position resulting from the continual changes to law and lobbying efforts.
  • Pursue an ongoing understanding of the K12 market access strategies to penetrate states and define growth strategies for existing states.
  • Acts as an advisor regarding market trends affecting current and potential product offerings.
  • Build relationships with other Savvas divisions, develop and oversee integration plans to maximize revenue opportunities, and construct solutions that meet customer needs across K-12 offerings, including core and supplemental offerings.
