VP of Sales and Business Development

MassiveU is an award winning B2B education Platform-As-A-Service company based in Naples, FL. We serve the world's leading education companies by converting their curricula into project based, social learning experiences. As a sales driven organization, we seek a self-starting, hyper-focused VP of Sales & Business Development to join our team at our Naples, FL headquarters, or remotely within the US.

Joining our Executive Leadership team, reporting to the CEO, you will create and implement a sales plan to target, pitch and close new B2B clients who leverage our platform to deploy project based, social learning solutions. We are looking for candidates with specific experience in working with textbook publishers who intend to differentiate through online and personalized learning approaches.

You must have a proven track record in relationship and consultative sales to K12 and / or Higher Ed markets. You will be measured on your ability to build and manage a pipeline and close business in a hands-on fashion. You must be self-directed, goal-oriented and a leader at heart.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a plan to target, sell and close publisher clients.
  • Building, managing and growing a pipeline and hitting quarterly sales goals.
  • Working with our Client Care team to ensure efficacy and position clients for annual renewals.
  • Strategizing with product developers on new and improved ways to engage and measure learner outcomes via our platform.
  • Building a long terms sales strategy replete with budgets, key hires and sales targets.

Qualifications:

  • 4-8+ years of hands-on Sales experience working with publishers who sell into the K12 & Higher Ed marketplace.
  • Strong relationships with publishers who serve K12 & Higher Ed markets.
  • Proven track record in building and managing a book of business.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are a must.
  • Ability to travel, extensively.
  • A college degree is required (BA/BS).
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
