What You’ll Do:

The Video Producer/Editor will work under the supervision of a Senior Video Producer/Editor to produce high-quality work in a variety of styles and across a variety of platforms. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external teams to ideate and execute on video strategies that meet the goals of the marketing department.

Typical activities

The specific details of a Video Producer/Editor role will vary, but common activities include:

Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for an array of customer stories, for distribution across a variety of platforms

Record and edit video and sound projects, including shooting, directing video crews, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, titling, adding music/voice-over/sound effects, media management and archiving project media

Collaborate with the Senior Producer/Editor to schedule video workflow and execute video strategies

Work independently, as well as part of a team, to ensure that deadlines are met and that projects achieve creative cohesion across mediums

Manage a dynamic set of editing deadlines; multitask on various projects simultaneously

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and manage expectations on projects

Assist Senior Producer/Editor on video shoots, help manage scheduling and logistics

Assist Senior Producer/Editor as needed to hire crews, direct shoots, conduct interviews

When Senior Producer/Editor is unavailable, act as lead producer, including pre-production, field production, and/or post-production

Reserve and utilize in-house equipment, as needed

Manage video library and assets

Travel to offsite shoot locations, as needed.

Other video and event support tasks as needed

Who You Are:

The Video Producer/Editor needs a wide range of video and creative capabilities. These include:

Extensive experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud (detailed below), with a particular strength in video editing with Premiere Pro

Proficiency with standard “one-man-band” filming setups (detailed below)

Maintain professionalism when interacting with external partners, as well as with children

Communication skills – must be able to convey production concepts both internally and externally

Storytelling ability – must be able to create engaging/informative stories out of a wide variety of source material and subject matter

Demonstrated management of a full pipeline, delivering assets on schedule

Ability to work collaboratively within a creative environment; open to creative critiques and collaborative problem-solving

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Years experience: 3+

Adept with Adobe Creative Cloud production software

Adobe Premiere Pro (mastery)

Adobe Audition (adept)

Adobe Photoshop (familiar)

Adobe After Effects (bonus)

Experience with standard, one-person filming setups (i.e.):

Prosumer-level camera (minimum)

Standard 3-point interview lighting

Standard lav and shotgun sound
