ROLE: As our Vice President of Partnerships (Sales) , your experience as a consultative sales leader in the K12 education market has equipped you to drive the repeatable, scalable, adoption of a fast-growing, industry-leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution. You will bring to bear a track record of success, attention to detail, well-established relationships and knowledge of the market to solving important problems for education customers. You are a high-energy leader, eager to hire, train, and manage a team of inside and outside professionals to enact a high-growth strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO,you will join a close-knit leadership team committed to making a major impact in education.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS: You should have 10 years of sales experience and five years of sales leadership experience in the K-12 education market , with most in a high-growth organization or successful start-up environment. You should have a passion for improving the lives of educators and their organizations. A proven history of building teams that deliver on revenue targets, training up new team members to perform, and personal credibility in the market are required. Experience in instructional technology or education SaaS sector is preferred.

Specific experience should include:● Building and leading a high-performing sales team and strategy, including:○ Defining top line investments;○ Setting and hitting sales targets;○ Territory management;○ Hiring, training, and managing an inside/outside sales team;○ Pipeline prioritization and reporting;○ Defining individual/team short-, mid- and long-term activity metrics;○ Establishing and managing commission plans;○ Sales process and pipeline optimization.● Being both a player and a coach of all prospecting and sales activities (cold calling, email,scripting, value explanation, presenting, closing, etc.).● Working closely with marketing and product teams to create and advise on scripts, collateraland materials to maximize the top of the funnel, the sales process and long-term retention.● Setting up and managing direct, channel and partner sales.● Consultative selling of digital products to K12 district leaders (superintendents and/or heads ofcurriculum, technology, and finance).● Differentiating the signal from the noise in enterprise sales, the competitive landscape andcustomer engagement, to stay focused and get deals done.● Building credibility and trustworthiness with your rolodex.● Being an active contributor on the senior leadership team.● Having a bunch of fun with customers, teammates and partners.Experience working with state education agencies, and in higher education, are desirable but notrequired.Qualifications:● 10+ years of sales experience, with significant time selling to K-12.● 5+ years or more in education-industry sales leadership roles.● Exemplary verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detail.● High energy, relentless, persuasive and passionate.● Deep understanding of and relationships throughout the education market.● Proficiency in Google Apps for Business , slack and other modern business technologies.● Proficiency with salesforce, marketing automation, zoom and sales efficiency technologies.● Ability to travel as much as needed, likely 50% or more.
