UX Researcher

Edmentum is looking for a curious and creative UX Researcher who enjoys complex issues and problem solving to join the Experience Design (XD) Team.

As the UX Researcher, you will work with various teams, including experience design, product managers, developers, marketing, and customer operations. You will be responsible for spearheading the planning and conducting of consumer research at every stage of the product’s lifecycle, from its conceptualization, prototype validations, all the way to usability tests on the final product.

As a valued member of the wider Global Creative team, you will use your skills and insights in a collaborative, agile environment to deliver exceptional experiences across the Kinder to Grade 12 educational products for learners, educators, and administrators.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Develop a well-crafted research plan with clear research objectives.
  • Write usability research screeners and discussion guides.
  • Recruit targeted end-users for specific research studies.
  • Moderate one-on-one basic usability sessions.
  • Help develop and implement quantitative surveys.
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization to understand the goals of the user and create resources that support those goals.
  • Translate user insights into actionable recommendations for the product and design teams.
  • Craft personas and other “information radiators” (e.g. journey maps) to communicate insights across the design, product and development teams.
  • Present design research findings to the larger team in a clear and organized fashion.
  • Work closely with the product team to identify research objectives.
  • Work with UX & UI designers to understand and implement research-based actions and recommendations.

Here's what you'll need:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field
  • 3 or more years of experience as a UX Researcher
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Adobe XD would be of benefit.
  • Familiarity with remote usability testing software
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and editing skills in English.
  • Ability to collaborate across a variety of teams, including all levels of management.
  • Experience gaining insights through analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Portfolio of related projects demonstrating your ability to translate complex concepts into usable resources and UX-focused case studies that showcase the principles of design thinking.

For CO residents: minimum salary of $77,400. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
