As UserExperience (UX) Research Lead, you will work collaboratively withProduct Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders across ANet'sNational and Regional teams to craft an exceptional end userexperience that maximizes the impact of our technology in serviceto educators and students. This is both a strategic and tacticalrole with the opportunity to partner with leaders across ANet toidentify research needs and influence product and design decisions.This role reports to the Vice President of Product.


EstablishANet's product research and UX practice in pursuit of maximizingthe impact, effectiveness, and ease of use of our educator andstudent-facing tools

Guide productresearch throughout the product life-cycle from early stagegenerative research, through iterative UI testing and post-launchmeasurement

Deliveractionable and relevant product research insights (via userinterviews, usability studies, focus groups, surveys, etc.) alignedto both strategic and tactical product and designsdecisions

Manage theinformation architecture,user interface, and interaction flow of our educator andstudent-facing products

Create lowand high-fidelity wireframes and mockups to facilitate productdiscovery research and development

Inpartnership with Product Managers, develop user personae, customerjourney maps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes insupport of our product roadmap

Build strongempathy and advocate passionately for our end users, ensuring thatthe product experience is aligned to user needs andexpectations

Continuallyiterate and evolve the way we design for and learn from ourcustomers.


In order tobe successful in this role, candidates must demonstratethe following:

You have apassionate commitment to and a sense of urgency for the support ofschools, along with a belief that all students can achieve at highlevels.

You aremotivated by working in an environment where we live out our corevalues daily. You are eager to examine personal archetypes andbiases while discussing topics related to race, class, andprivilege which relate to ANet's Advance Equity and People Mattervalues, and our work towards becoming an anti-racistorganization.

You've gotabout 5 years of hands-on experience and a track record of successwith user experience design, information architecture, and productresearch for digital products.

You know howto champion a UX research function and act as a customer advocate;you've translated research into actionable insights andrecommendations that have had a significant impact on the customerexperience

You haveexceptional project management skills and are able to effectivelymanage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines whileworking cross-team and synthesizing feedback and input from productmanagement, engineering, and marketing functions.

You know howto weave key insights into a compelling narrative; yourpresentation and persuasion skills have led to success in buildingbuy-in from leaders - whether in a formal presentation or viaad-hoc discussions - for bold ideas.

You haveexpertise creating prototypes at various levels of fidelity toarticulate and test user flows using modern tools (e.g., InVision,Keynote, etc), interaction and visual design documents, userstories, conceptual models, annotated wireframes, storyboards,creative briefs—and more.

You candemonstrate fluency in best practices for web-based and mobileinformation architecture and responsive design, as well as deep andbroad knowledge of usability principles and techniques.

You're alwayswilling to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to meetteam goals and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamicenvironment.

You have astrong portfolio of UX/UI design work demonstrating your experienceworking on digital projects from concept to launch.

Ideal candidates may also demonstrate the followingpreferred qualifications:

You bringprior experience in K-12 education or Ed Tech.

You havestudied UX research, digital design, graphic design, and/orhuman-computer interaction.

You haveworking knowledge of human-centered design principles (e.g. DesignThinking) and agile/lean software development.

You have aproven ability in a variety of design tools such as InDesign,Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and prototyping tools(Invision, Axure, Framer, etc.).
