VP Education / Sales US Office

International Education Technology company seeks a sales leader for its US office based in Seattle.

Whizz Education is an international education technology company with offices in London, Seattle, Dubai and Nairobi. We are currently seeking a lead US Sales Manager to drive forward new sales throughout the United States but concentrating on the West Coast.

Over twelve years Whizz Education has been partnering with parents, schools, districts and donor organisations to raise standards in math. This is accomplished through virtual tutoring, teacher-led digital resources and consultancy in blended learning.

Whizz now has successful implementations across 8 different countries including larger projects in the United States and Mexico. The service has been adapted to meet the needs of multiple curricula and languages. The US office is one of our smaller sales divisions but has huge potential.

The successful candidate will lead the sales effort for the US office. Working with an established implementation team to bring on new Districts and Schools and donor organisations. This is a hugely challenging role at an exciting time in the history of Whizz and comes with great potential for the right person.

Expectations of the position

  • In line with overall company objectives, agree new sales and growth targets for the US team.
  • Work with the senior leadership team to develop strategy and tactics to achieve targets
  • Manage and grow District level relationships
  • Exceed quarterly financial targets for subscription renewals and services revenue & margin
  • Build strong relationships with the existing implementation team, and work with the team to achieve revenue targets and successful implementations.

Requirements of the position

  • Commercial acumen – an understanding of making the most from existing resources
  • Relationship building skills – as the face of Whizz Education in the US you must be able to build upon your existing relationships at District level, and already be embedded within the K-8 education market.
  • High level expertise and understanding of the market, product, sales development
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to conclude deals
  • Based or willing to be based in Seattle

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proven track record in new sales within educational technology
  • High level of integrity
  • In depth understanding of the K-8 curriculum/supplemental market
  • An education professional
