THE OPPORTUNITY

We areseeking a part-time Temporary Director of School Support (DSS) towork with leaders to build a school culture where learningstandards, data, high quality curricula, and teacher developmentare used to achieve breakthrough learning for students. TheTemporary DSS will be responsible for coaching and developingleadership teams in a portfolio of schools. Portfoliosmay include school coverage during employee leaves and transitionsor initial stages of new school partnerships. This is a uniqueopportunity for an outcomes-driven educator to enact change in theclassroom through coaching and supporting school leaders, workingalongside other peer coaches, and collaborating regularly with ANetnational teams. The Temporary DSS will report to the CoachingImpact Lead.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Partner with and coach school leaders to strengthen equitableinstruction and increase student achievement

?Serveas an instructional leadership coach for school leaders, inspiringand motivating teams, supporting school-wide change management, andbuilding expertise in standards-based and data-driven instructionand teacher development

?Trainand coach school leaders and teachers on effective backwardsplanning using state standards, complex texts, and curricula toachieve student mastery of grade-level content and addressinglearning loss

?Developschool leaders and teachers on effective use of data from interimassessments to target student misunderstandings and improve teacherpractice

?Analyzestudent data and use research-based practices to inform anindividualized strategy for coaching each school

?Buildand maintain strong relationships with school leaders and teachersthat establish ANet as a key partner in increasing studentachievement

?Workalongside other ANet team members to share learnings with districtteams and strengthen coherence between system and school levelwork

?Designand lead professional development sessions for groups of schoolleaders and teachers to strengthen their understanding ofstandards-based and data-driven instructional bestpractices

?You are energized by roles where no day will be the same, but whereinstructional excellence is at the heart of everything youdo. You know how to get breakthrough results for kids because you havea proven track record of using standards and data to driveinstruction.

?You bring prior experience developing other adults to achieveresults over time (e.g.school leadership, instructional coaching, etc.). You know how todevelop and motivate others to drive results, while balancinghumility and assertiveness. Youthrive off building strong relationships, especially when it comesto building trust and credibility quickly. You set long-term goalsfor change and execute towards them.

?You draw others in. Yourability to read and respond to unspoken and implicit cues, and yourengaging presentation skills leave others energized and wanting toknow more.

Ideal candidates may also demonstrate the followingpreferred qualifications:

? You have experience coaching teams, leading professionaldevelopment, and/or managing academic programs at adistrict/CMO-level.

Thepay for this position is $73.02 per hour. In order to uphold ourcommitment to equity, ANet does not negotiate pay.
