The Upper School Technology Teacher will contribute to the development and implementation of exciting STEAM experiences and curricula within the Technology Education department that foster creative thinking, computational thinking, and innovation. This includes teaching courses like Robotics, 3D Design, Programming, and Entrepreneurship.

Qualifications: Candidates must, at a minimum, possess a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate field, share a passion for working with young people, and embrace the mission and philosophy of the school. A graduate degree and instructional technology related experience a plus.

Ideal candidates for the Upper School Technology Teacher position are dynamic, highly collaborative and committed to professional growth in their discipline and in their teaching practice. We look for educators who are passionate about teaching, dedicated to helping all students achieve their potential, and demonstrate expertise in their field.

The successful candidate will instruct a range of courses and will be responsible for the development and implementation of exciting STEAM experiences and curricula as it relates to the following:

  • Computational Thinking
  • Design Thinking
  • Innovating
  • Collaborative 
  • Project Based Learning
  • Engineering
  • Making and Tinkering

This will include, but not limited to, teaching courses in Robotics, 3D Modeling & 3D Printing, Entrepreneurship, Programming and other courses that may fit their vision. More information on the courses taught in the upper school can be viewed on our school website at www.sssas.org.
