The Technical Support Specialist will support the Technology Manager at LER to prepare content for large-scale research studies. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and interest in working with technology platforms.

Day-to- day activities include content maintenance and migration of curriculum content into a customized Content Management System (CMS). The Technology Support Specialist will perform a wide variety of tasks that support the maintenance of the CMS and the onboarding of new users. This position requires someone who has a firm grasp on editing web-based digital content, assisting with virtual trainings, and handling technical support.

Technology Support:

Assists Technology Manager in creating, developing, and editing online content for specific sections of Sprocket and LER content on social media platforms.

Assists in researching and updating outdated content.

Coordinates content delivery to ensure all elements are in place for publishing

Conducts QA testing of migrated content on Sprocket

Assists Technology Manager in the reporting and resolving of technical bugs

Production Assistance:

Prepares, produces and posts content for the LER website as directed by Technology Manager

Coordinates content delivery to ensure all elements are in place for publishing

Image production, sizes, optimizes and catalogues images for LER content, as needed.

Assists in media asset tracking and copyright audit of files

Maintains site features and works with LER standard protocols.

Coordinates special projects and assists all production tasks.

Training of Users

Manage the enrollment and onboarding of new users in Sprocket

Create training documents for different audiences

REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, Computer Science, or related field

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of teaching or educational publishing experience or 2 years of technical support experience, including networking & troubleshooting
