Job Summary: The ideal candidate will have a broad and deep understanding of technology platform management, data architecture, product ownership and project management. The Technology Specialist must be comfortable with data analysis and supporting others to understand and use data metrics. Ability to translate business goals and platform enhancement requests into technical specifications, while identifying potential risk to data and the user experience is essential. The Technology Specialist will also provide outstanding customer service on “Kiano”, NTC’s new flagship learning platform in addition to other client-facing technology. The role is designed for an individual with strategic capacity to collaborate cross-departmentally and with vendors to prioritize internal partner requests and user-reported issues.

Technology Enablement

  • Support and execute on NTC’s technology platform strategy in alignment with NTC’s mission, vision and theory of change
  • Encourage and coach internal clients in data use and understanding, and create supporting documentation
  • Assist internal and external clients with analyzing program data and plan for improvement using strengths and weaknesses identified
  • Perform platform risk assessments identifying data privacy, security and accessibility concerns
  • Effectively communicate updates to stakeholders both asynchronous and synchronous for effective expectation setting
  • Knowledge of Agile project management skills working cross-functionally across the organization

Client Support

  • Support client engagement training, coaching and customer support needs as they arise.
  • Provide timely, thoughtful, and thorough support for NTC client-facing technology via our Zendesk Ticket system
  • Coordinate with other staff to troubleshoot and provide solutions to district partners
  • Provide Live Support via Text, Slack, Zoom, and Chat, (occasionally phone) using our Zendesk customer service platform and other internal technology

Additional Responsibilities

  • Elevate platform issues reported by partners working closely with the portfolio management and support teams to reinforce commitment to the user experience and satisfaction.
  • Identify process solutions and enhancement opportunities as technology needs emerge.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously collaborating cross-functionally and cross-departmentally to meet organizational goals.
  • Additional project assignments as needed.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
  • 3+ years experience in data management, data analysis or other data administration functions
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data
  • Experience working with Google Apps, SmartSheets, Qualtrics and other technology platforms preferred
  • Excellent math, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and developing technology platform documentation
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while engaging internal and external stakeholders towards goals
  • Self-starter who can handle ambiguity

ADA Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Work normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
  • Travel as needed (quarterly)
  • Limited physical effort required
  • May have substantial national travel based on office location/client assignments
  • Requires a valid driver’s license
  • Driving, grasping, hearing, repetitive hand motions, lifting under 50 pounds, pulling, pushing, reaching, sitting, talking, typing
