About the Role

This role is responsible for coordinating new software development and existing technology maintenance by working collaboratively with team members across our entire program team. You will report into the Technology Division which includes engineering, infrastructure, and internal/field IT operations.Working as the scrum master, you will harness contributions from business analysts, engineers, quality assurance analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the right tasks are lined up, and executed effectively. This role is critical to help the organization achieve its ambitious goals and to fully leverage the capacity of the technology team in particular. Your focus will be achieving quality completion within the sprint timeline to deliver on-time, on-budget, and high-quality software.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate day-to-day technical and operational aspects of releasing new code, from requirements gathering through deployment to production environments
  • Facilitate active team communication and problem-solving with both our in-house and third-party engineering teams to resolve impediments and ensure sprint progress
  • Partner with the project planning team to understand their goals, deadlines, and priorities; communicate sprint progress and items at risk of not being completed on time to inform subsequent planning
  • Establish and implement tactical mechanisms to continuously improve efficiency of software engineering activities
  • Guide and coach the technology team to adopt agile/scrum practices tailored to the organization’s needs

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) is a plus
  • Software engineering experience is a big plus
  • Project management / scrum master experience is a big plus
