We need someone who understands the content and pedagogy, and can create instructional materials, design and deliver professional learning sessions, and provide ongoing support as needed to educators. The ideal candidate has a background in teaching Computer Science, knows how to build educator-centric professional development curriculum, communicate with district and site leaders, and is interested in making a lasting impact with the way Computer Science is taught.

  • Manage a team of part-time Kira Ambassadors who are generally full-time teachers of Kira courses. These Ambassadors participate in leading PD sessions, contribute to Kira teacher resources, serve as moderators for our Kira Teachers Facebook Group, and post content and answer questions in that forum.
  • Hire to expand the Kira Teachers Ambassadors group as we add teacher communities in new regions.
  • Travel to lead in-person professional development sessions as is desirable.
  • Participate in developing conference proposals, and travel to conferences to deliver presentations

  • Nimble, scrappy, and adaptable. Can roll with the punches and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
  • A positive, can-do attitude. You’re not deterred by minor setbacks and are able to swiftly overcome ambiguity
