In partnership with school leaders, the Green Dot Public Schools Human Capital team has the immense responsibility of ensuring that every position is filled with the most capable and mission-driven employee. A motivated Talent Specialist will become an excellent teammate, improve the team’s execution, and push the team’s thinking on developing and executing the best human capital strategies.


> Assist in developing and implementing strategies to attract a diverse talent pool of teachers, school leaders, and various district-level personnel at a local and national level

>Ensure marketing, outreach efforts and recruitment collateral are compelling and effectively represent Green Dot Public Schools’ schools, culture and values

> Utilize outside the box recruiting techniques to source candidates through various media outlets

> Identify new (and maintain current) partnerships with key organizations (e.g., Teach For America, City Year, and various university teacher education programs) that will be pipelines for talent

> Collaborate with a fast-paced, goals-driven Human Capital team to develop strategies, policies, processes and tools that are sustainable and replicable to support and facilitate the selection and hiring of qualified candidates

> Implement and track evaluation metrics to measure our recruitment and hiring achievements to help us refine our processes

> Continuously evaluate and refine our recruitment and selection model and implement changes that produce efficient results of bringing in top talent from across the country

> Partner with school leaders and district hiring managers to determine needs, as well as help to determine “fit” of potential candidates

> Become an integral member of the Human Capital team, conducting candidate interviews and other duties as needed


> Bachelor’s degree required

> 2+ years of experience in recruitment and hiring (preferred)

> Ability to source, select and “sell” prospects to join Green Dot Public Schools

> Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers, school site administrators and colleagues at all levels of the organization

> Capacity to foster strong university relations

> Excellent research skills; the ingenuity, sophistication, and persistence in tracking down sometimes hard-to-find information

> Ability to develop new processes and systems; to quickly recognize inefficiencies in current systems and generate sound solutions

> Ability to synthesize complex information into recommendations

> High level of personal responsibility and drive to set and meet ambitious and measurable goals

> Impeccable organizational skills and ability to develop organizational systems

> Exemplary customer service skills

> Strong public speaking skills

> Strong project management skills

> Strong sense of integrity, high standards and drive to achieve and grow
