OPPORTUNITY:

Green Dot is seeking a Strategic Planning Analyst to join its Strategic Planning Team,which is responsible for developing the organization’s strategic plan and managing the effective implementation of high priority strategic projects related to Green Dot’s academic model, financial sustainability, operational execution, organizational culture and growth. The Strategic Planning Team reports to the Vice President of Strategic Planning and works closely with Green Dot’s CEO and management team.The Strategic Planning Analyst will report to the Strategic Planning Manager and will collaborate with many members of the Home Office staff to help deliver and execute strategic projects. The ideal candidate enjoys being part of the big picture while successfully executing across a variety of tasks –both strategic and operational.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning:

> Developing and updating Green Dot’s long-term strategic plan in partnership with the Strategic Planning Team and Green Dot’s management team

> Assisting in setting organizational strategic goals, tracking progress toward achieving goals and communicating progress to senior management

Growth Strategy:

> Supporting Green Dot’s growth by identifying high potential areas to open new schools in existing and new regions

> Working with the Strategic Planning Team to lead the application process for new schools as needed

Strategic Projects Execution:

Working with the Strategic Planning Manager and cross-functional teams, including senior management, to lead problem-solving and execution on high priority strategic initiatives requiring-

> Defining the work (e.g. identifying critical issues, defining the work, creating work plans)

> Developing data-driven recommendations by defining, conducting and driving appropriate analyses including 1) Gathering qualitative data through bench marking of peer organizations and best practices, conducting interviews and observations, conducting focus groups, etc. and 2) Accessing, analyzing and synthesizing quantitative data from various sources

> Monitoring project progress and resolving or escalating issues to senior management as appropriate

> Communicating recommendations to key stakeholders and driving change throughout the organization

QUALIFICATIONS:

> Bachelor's degree from a leading university (business, economics, finance, or other analytical coursework preferred)

> Less than 3 years of post-undergraduate experience

> Passion for reforming public education and a rock-solid commitment to Green Dot’s mission

> Ability to demonstrate rigorous problem-solving abilities

> Strong project management skills including ability to juggle multiple priorities

> Ability to analyze and synthesize data to develop comprehensive recommendations

> Effective communication skills, with ability to deliver presentations and communicate issues clearly to diverse stakeholders

> Dynamic interpersonal and teamwork skills, with ability to build trust among diverse segments of the organization

> Relentless commitment to and high standards for high quality execution

> Humble, quick learner with a drive to achieve and grow

COMPENSATION:

Salary for this position will be within a range of $55,000 - $60,000 and depend on prior experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits plan as well as the opportunity to impact a growing, mission-driven organization that is committed to the success of all students.
