Strategic Account Manager

Position Overview

We at Illuminated Education are seeking a personable, focused professional to join our Customer Services team as a Strategic Account Manager. In this role, you’ll act as the liaison between specific school districts and Illuminate. You’ll share best practices using Illuminate products, help coordinate all training sessions and webinars, facilitate support needs (including documentation) and ensure that the district is aware of upcoming releases and platform enhancements. In addition, you’ll meet weekly with leadership to monitor the status, review and update any goals set and coordinate action plans to best support the district goals as well as provide regular project status reports to the district team on assessment activity, training and performance of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all implementation and setup work for purchased products.
  • Manage all Illuminate and any subcontractor resources assigned to this project along with MWBE (Minority- and Women- Owned Business Enterprise) requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the overall project plan, project roadmap and all other required project documentation.
  • Manage the scheduling, deliverables, and updates of the project plan, including the tasks and responsibilities of Illuminate and assigned school district(s).
  • Assume overall accountability for the quality of all project deliverables.
  • Ensure the quality of all project deliverables and secure acceptance of deliverables.
  • Provide, at a minimum, weekly status reports and meeting agenda/minutes in accordance with the agreed upon communication plan(s).
  • Play an active role in other project management processes together with the school district(s) business and IT project directors, including but not limited to risk management, quality management, and change management.
  • Ensure successful transition through effective communications management.
  • Monitor help desk and user support.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Prior experience in a project management role or other customer-facing experience within the software industry.
  • Knowledge about current educational climate, research and specific requirements.
  • Ability to manage clients through a complex life cycle that includes planning, system setup, data migration and system admin training.
  • Experience with Illuminate products preferred, not required.
  • Understanding of how districts/schools operate on a day-to-day basis.
  • Outstanding problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and ease in front of groups of people at all levels/functions.
  • Strong technical skills.
