State Programs Manager

The State Programs Manager reports to the State and Federal Programs Manager. This manager will be responsible for management of Edmentum’s state programs – including federal/state adoptions, lists, grants, third party approvals, state/local customizations, state standards, and alignments. Also responsible for collaborating cross functionally with other stakeholders to enact the state programs strategy.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Execute Edmentum’s state programs strategy.
  • Maintain processes related to federal/state adoptions, lists, grants, third party approvals, state/local customizations, state standards, and alignments. Leverage Lean and Agile methodologies.
  • Enact program management for state programs, enabling continuous value streams that deliver outcomes aligned to state strategy.
  • Guide roadblocks and escalations to successful resolution.
  • Facilitate completion of all required documentation to ensure successful adoptions and approvals.
  • Serve as an internal expert on state requirements. Provide insights and guidance to teams.
  • Partner closely with Product Management on state programs offerings.
  • Partner closely with sales, and services teams to understand state requirements and consult on Edmentum’s state programs offerings.
  • Collaborate with bid ops team on RFPs, consulting on Edmentum’s state programs offerings and serving as a liaison with the Product organization.
  • Track data relevant to state needs and opportunities: standards, adoptions, lists, etc.
  • Maintain effective and seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage change in fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 4 years of experience in education technology and/or publishing
  • 4 years of experience in state adoptions, lists, solutions, and/or government relations for K-12 curriculum and assessments
  • Proven experience managing and resourcing a range of projects, varying in complexity and size
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and team-building skills
  • Proven experience working with state and local departments of education
  • Exceptional writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Strong creative and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Positive and high-energy attitude
  • Experience working on projects in multi-faceted and fast-paced environment
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with virtual teams
