We areseeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the ANet'sFinance & Accounting Team with all areas relating to accountingfunctions. This Staff Accountant will be responsible for executingon daily, weekly and monthly accounting activities to ensure timelycloses and accurate financial reporting. This positionwill manage crucial aspects of the team's work including A/R, A/P,travel and expenses, general ledger preparation, fund accounting,internal/external audits and legal compliance. Overall, this personwill play a critical role in ensuring ANet's financialsustainability as the organization continues to grow andevolve. This position will report to the Director, Accounting andwill workclosely with a five-person team supporting an organizationaloperating budget of $31 million.


Execute on accounting activities to support ANet's financial healthand sustainability

ManageAccounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P) and Travel andExpenses (T&E) processes and systems

Ensureaccurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year endclose

Maintainfinancial record systems in accordance with Generally AcceptedAccounting Principles and fund accounting

Maintainaccounting controls and make recommend revisions to accountingpolicies and procedures as needed

Support auditactivities

Monitor andmanage all grant accounting

Partner withother Accounting Team members to develop a more efficient A/Rsystem to drive revenue collections

Contribute to the overall success of the Finance & AccountingTeam

Identifyareas of process improvement within the department to improve theteam's overall performance and refineaccounting policies and procedures as needed

Support theevaluation and implementationof accounting, purchasing and invoicing systems that will supportANet's long-term growth goals

Partner withother Accounting Team members to develop a more efficient A/Psystem to drive expense automation/streamlining


In order tobe successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

You have 2-4years of prior experience executing accounting activities(includingA/R, A/P, travel and expenses, etc.)

You haveexceptional analytical skills and bring strong attention to detailin everything you do

You are acollaborative team player and your positive customer serviceattitude makes you excel at communicating and managingprojects with diverseinternal and external stakeholders

You bringfamiliarity and comfort with financesystems (ex: QuickBooks) and advancedMicrosoft Excel skills

You aredeadline-driven and solutions-oriented and thrive at working in anentrepreneurial, fast-paced environment

You have apassionate commitment to and a sense of urgency for the support ofschools, along with a belief that all students can achieve at highlevels

You aremotivated by working in an environment where we live out our corevalues daily and are eager to examine personal archetypes andbiases while discussing topics related to race, class, andprivilege which relate to ANet's Advance Equity and People Mattervalues
