Sr. UX Writer - Sr. Product Designer

Edmentum is looking for an exceptional designer to play a critical role in shaping the next phase digital experience across their products. As a Senior Product Designer you will join a multi-disciplinary global creative team comprised of product design, communication design, UX writing, animation and illustration, and have the opportunity take ownership of a specific user persona experience and put your design stamp on the next stage of growth for the platforms.

This position requires a versatile skill set including UI design, UX design, Visual Design, User Research and a passion to solve complex problems to give our Educators' and Learners' an intuitive and insightful experience. As a Senior Product Designer you should thrive on collaboration and work well with cross-functional teams, and enjoy being a part of both broad strategic design initiatives as well as the pixel perfect product feature design.

Here's what you'll do:

• Bring your passion and creativity to design compelling, delightful experiences
• Lead the design of a specific user persona across platforms
• Draw on your leadership skills to bring people together to explore and ideate.
• Lead by example, set the bar for design standards, process and direction, from project kick-off through research, wireframes, prototypes with the aim of delivering the your vision aligned with business growth.
• Develop deep empathy for our users personas and use research and data to inform design solutions
• Embedded in a cross-functional team and work closely with PMs, Engineers, and internal stakeholders to explore opportunities that lead to meaningful outcomes.
• Collaborate with other product designers to solve problems and craft consistent experiences
• Responsibility for creating rapid lo-fi prototypes to communicate user flow and features, and hi-fi prototypes to test workflows with internal stakeholders.

Here's what you'll need:

• A passion for building product. A growth mindset. Willingness to own problems. A desire to make things better.
• Significant experience in a design team, with a portfolio or case studies to demonstrate the experiences you have created and are proud of.
• A drive to Identify user needs - An ability to tackle design problems from beginning to end. From problem definition to iteration, through prototyping and user testing
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly, debate respectfully, and collaborate in everything you create.
• Ability to provide accurate designs, considering all states and scenarios with clear guidance for development
• Qualitative user research & usability testing - learning from users and delivering on their needs
• Confident with a number of design tools including Adobe XD
• Enjoys working as part of a team and inspires motivation in others
