Sr. Project Manager, Product Certification

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, PRODUCT CERTIFICATION

ISTE is looking for a Senior Project Manager, Product Certification. The Sr. Project Manager, Product Certification will be responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of ISTE’s Seal of Alignment and Co-Development programs including, fostering leads, growing relationships, and overall account management to ensure seamless and quality delivery of program services.

As a key member of the Learning Partnerships team, the Sr. Project Manager will bring a passion and drive for ed-tech innovation, entrepreneurialism, and product success. The person in this role will have a unique opportunity to manage and grow two flagship vendor-facing product certification and support programs to support ed-tech vendors in the development, recognition, and success of high-quality pedagogically informed products. In addition, this person will also lead initiatives to support the strategic growth of ISTE’s approach to product certification and scalability of the two programs in connection with broader industry trends and market needs.

For the right candidate, this position brings the unique ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, manage and grow two successful programs, work with ed-tech developers and solution providers, and bring new creative ideas to the table to help grow program quality, impact, and scalability.

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Maintain, manage and grow an ongoing portfolio of client companies participating in ISTE’s Seal of Alignment and Co-Development programs.
  • Manage the day-to-day functions of the ISTE Seal of Alignment and Co-Development programs including overall scheduling, invoices, contracts, reimbursements, etc.
  • Design and lead the implementation of program improvement initiatives such as new evaluator/consultant training protocol, onboarding processes for new reviewers, and new quality- assurance review/feedback criteria to support the long-term growth, success, and scalability of the Seal of Alignment and Co-Development programs.
  • Make recommendations and deploy processes for improving program efficiencies.
  • Help create and ensure achievement of program goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct business development activities including strategic outreach, opportunity qualification, lead fostering, scheduling, client communication, and renewals.
  • Represent ISTE and vendor services during external facing activities including developing, planning, and presenting at industry related events and meetings.
  • Manage and track project budgets, provide regular project financial reporting along with engagement metrics, and follow internal operational processes.
  • Lead internal and external project meetings. Plan, facilitate and manage communication between the ISTE staff, key project personnel, external liaisons, project participants, vendors and suppliers.
  • Manage and grow a cohort of highly qualified external consultants and subject matter experts including planning, scheduling, and leading meetings and work sessions for contract project work to ensure timely delivery and quality of work.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and/or contractors to help develop and deploy marketing and communication strategy with associated projects including benefit fulfillment, website redesign, and collateral.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate transparently with colleagues across departments to ensure projects progress in a timely manner; be able to sequence tasks and move multiple tasks forward in parallel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Master’s or other advanced degree in business, education, technology or related field (an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be acceptable).
  • Proven experience and expertise in project/program management, account management, and B2B relations.
  • Knowledge and passion for education technology and innovation, especially as relates to impact, and business and market success.
  • Knowledge of the ISTE Standards and/or deep expertise in pedagogically informed design.

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in and/or knowledge of ed-tech research and/or learning sciences
  • Experience in and/or knowledge of marketing and social media strategy
  • Working knowledge or experience in micro-credentialing and/or certification processes, especially as it relates to ed-tech products, services, or design.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or other languages.
