Sr. Director, Content Solutions HE

LearningMate - Remote - Full time

Sr. Director Content Solutions HE is a leadership position at LearningMate responsible for building the Higher Education Content Practice, defining the Content services that are relevant for the market, working with the business development function on the go to market strategy, assist the business with closing and executing new business and provide strategic direction on the Content services to the Business development teams.

He/she will take active participation in RFP and/or proposal stage of any opportunity and provide required data points for the business development team to successfully complete the sales process.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Content Services Practice Development

  • Identify market opportunities and Solutions /Services that could address Higher education Market needs.
  • Define the service offerings and work with the business development team to provide strategic insights and develop the go to market strategy.
  • Enable the delivery team to build the capabilities required to deliver the Content Services.
  • Ensure service delivery is managed profitably and in-line with business plan goals.
  • Manage a culture of continuous improvement by continually fine-tuning and updating systems and processes.
  • Proactively address problems and identify opportunities for increasing client satisfaction.

Business Development Support

  • Analyze requirements and provide appropriate solution(s). Estimate effort and cost for the projects. Communicate solution(s) effectively to the clients; identifies problem areas and recommends solutions.
  • Be the “face” of LearningMate Content HE group for the client. 
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and leverage the best available resources to achieve client short and long-term strategic goals.
  • Evaluate and report on the performance of LearningMate services and products as used by clients.
  • Maintains through ongoing research, networking, and self-study expertise in trends in state, national and international standards, editorial and assessment development including emerging technologies and data systems.

    Key Performance Indicators: 

    Proposal delivered within agreed upon time frame

    Meeting expected conversion ratio as defined by the organization

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in English or related field; Master’s degree in Education desirable.
  • 12 years’ or more of successful experience developing digital content products for HE United States market. Experience leading a virtual team of product managers and designers.
  • 8+ year’s management including managing onshore and offshore teams (including freelancers). Practical experience with offshore teams and developing strategies to design transformative digital content product strategy and large scale operations is desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Google Apps, modern business tools, communication tools, mobile tools, presentation tools for virtual teams (i.e., JoinMe, Google Hangout, Skype)
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 50%) to meet key clients, will include overnight travel. LearningMate has offices in India and US and works with global customers. Coordination with teams primarily in India necessitates early morning or late evening calls/meetings.

      Physical Demands & Work Environmen

  • Work environment is primarily indoors at home, client office or other professional settings; travel from site to site; exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions; and exposure to hazardous driving and traffic conditions.
  • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to regularly walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight up to 10 pounds.
