Job Overview:

As a member of our Solutions Marketing team you will have a major impact on our future success and the success of K-12 students ability to read, write and communicate with confidence.

Location: Remote within US, with ideal locations being any state in the Midwest or Central Time Zone.

Job Responsibilities:

  • As part of the local regional marketing team, you will partner with field marketing managers to plan sales and marketing strategies and localize positioning of Lexia’s products and services to ensure they resonate within the local market.
  • Manage content marketing and presales activities in the pursuit of regional marketing and presales programs to effectively grow and accelerate bookings pipeline.
  • Assist sales in positioning multi-product solutions for large and complex sales opportunities, including state/district adoption pursuits.
  • Engage customers and interpret their needs and derivation of advice for prospective products that are aligned with the customers' needs.
  • Understanding the local markets and customer dynamics and buying influencers.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and field marketing counterparts to develop account-based marketing content

Solution Marketing

  • Translate state, district, and school plans into portfolio offerings that exemplify a specific value proposition.
  • Communicate value of products and services to customers and sales in clear, simple terms aligning customer goals with portfolio capabilities.
  • Manage and drive creation of compelling content marketing/regional marketing materials (Product Samples, Digital Evaluation Guides, Curriculum Crosswalks, Demo Sites, Prospecting Decks, etc) and creative to fuel regional marketing programs and sales activities.
  • Prepare localized and/or account specific presentations about our products and services with all their values for use by regional sales teams.
  • Summarize market needs and anecdotal competitive information and deliver to Product Management, Sales, and Regional Marketing

Solution Consulting (Presales)

  • Actively participate in customer interviews and customer needs analysis.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations to state, district and school decision makers for large, complex opportunities.
  • Contribute to the business case development in pursuit of opportunities.
  • Provide customers with compelling demos that are customized to using customer feedback into clear, concise actions
  • Assist in preparation of sales proposals, RFP and RFI responses as needed
  • Present at events, webinars, customer and partner meetings.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years in marketing, content marketing and/or presales role.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or Elementary Education
  • Masters in Education, highly desirable
  • Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Can demonstrate examples of partnering with sales and pre-sales teams to build opportunities
  • Ideal to demonstrate broad K-12 industry knowledge
  • Has excellent speaking and writing skills with proven capability to represent the company at external customer and industry events.
