Solutions Consultant

KickUp, Inc. - Remote - Full time

KickUp is looking for a Solutions Consultant to join a team that is reimagining how school districts grow their most valuable asset: their people.

KickUp aims to empower educators by meaningfully engaging them in professional growth. Our platform helps educational leaders capture data about teacher growth and use it to drive better outcomes for students. We’re a growing team building a product used by tens of thousands of educators.

We’re now looking for core members of our sales team to help us reach many more educators. With the support of your colleagues, you’ll help sell a product that people love (NPS > 80!) and you’ll talk about pedagogy, andragogy, and what good staff development looks like. This role is a great fit for you if you enjoy navigating the complex world of district sales (including PD budgeting & purchasing), building strong relationships, and bringing more meaningful professional development and support to educators.

Every sales success means more educators getting a say in what growth looks like in their role; every investment we make in our educators, in turn contributes to better student outcomes.

On your first day, you should show up ready to:

  • Discuss pedagogy, andragogy, and best coaching practices.
  • Teach anyone how to navigate the complexities of district-level purchase decisions, including engaging multiple stakeholders at different levels, communicating the educational impact of new solutions, proactively overcoming objections, and expediting any contract-specific processes.
  • Communicate and work across multiple teams: sales, marketing, partner success and support, professional development, and product.
  • Talk with Professional Learning and Development, Human Resources, and Teaching & Learning leaders in school districts about educator growth!

What you’ll learn more about after you’re hired:

  • The unique features of the platform we’ve built, the results we’re seeing, and our robust Partner Success model that supports implementation.
  • How our sales process has worked and how to replicate its successes.
  • Our philosophies around educator growth and the impact of actionable data.
  • How multiple teams work together to create, implement, and improve our product.

Within your first week, you’ll:

  • Introduce yourself on Slack to your new coworkers!
  • Meet with folks from different departments to get a better understanding of the user journey.
  • Try out our platform, take a look at key use cases, and read through and watch district testimonials and case studies.

Within your first month, you’ll:

  • Join sales calls and begin to lead those calls yourself!
  • Begin closing sales in tandem with an account executive.
  • Use your wealth of knowledge about coaching, professional development, educator growth and the education landscape on sales and implementation calls.
  • Be able to effectively communicate value propositions and know how to best position KickUp based on needs analysis.

Within your first three months, you’ll:

  • Help close multiple sales and share the wins with the whole team!
  • Track close rate to help with projections and pipeline management.
  • Share a variety of data on partner success, sales, and usage to forecast growth to the leadership team to improve revenue processes and prioritize product and feature requests.
  • Analyze and triage potential adoption roadblocks or implementation challenges to help build any customizations or supports.

Within your first year, you’ll:

  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals.
  • Have cultivated long-standing relationships with districts and educational organizations.
  • Contribute to RFP/RFI (request for proposals/information) submissions for districts, states, and other organizations to support growth.
  • Support the configurations of the product to meet specific coaching practices, district initiatives, or state requirements.
  • Have an eye on market trends and identify opportunities for growth in years to come, with a focus on building pipelines during the school district sale off-season, collaborating with marketing on efforts around communication, conference strategies, presentations, and more.
  • Take plenty of time off. We do our best work when we take time to recharge!
