Software Sales Lead

JetPackED is the only data platform that analyzes academic data from online learning programs and provides each student with their own daily, individualized report card and weekly assignments that automatically adjust to fit each of their personalized growth targets.

This web platform is built to promote student ownership and academic success by aggregating daily student data in one spot and providing weekly learning recommendations to teachers and families. The data is then rolled up and presented to the student, their parents and school staff members at all levels connecting end of year mastery goals with individual needs.

Based in the Bay Area and reporting to the JetPackED Head of Product, the Software Sales Lead will lead the sales function for JetPacked, building relationships and selling the product to charter schools, independent schools, out of school providers, and school districts. The Software Sales Lead will collaborate across the team to understand the features, uses, and user perspectives to drive purchase and successful implementation of the platform. The Software Sales Lead will work with the Marketing Manager and Implementation Lead to prepare for successful implementation. This collaborative role can work remotely OR can work from our Bay Area Regional Office.

Essential Functions:

Software Sales

  • In collaboration with the Head of Product, build relationships with charter schools, independent schools, out of school providers, and district schools to sell and successfully implement JetPackED
  • Utilize marketing materials to illustrate the features and advantages of JetPackED to empowered buyers, whether superintendents, CAOs, principals, or other decision-makers
  • Represent JetPackED at industry forums, conferences, promotional events, and sales calls to communicate the advantages, product roadmap, and successes to date of JetPackED
  • Record timely contacts, notes, and next steps in a customer relationship management system to ensure visibility into the sales funnel
  • Collaborate on the development of the JetPackED product roadmap, providing the customer perspective directly or indirectly to the Head of Product and entire team
  • Work with the Marketing & Implementation team to identify promotional opportunities at conferences and other industry events, utilizing these structures to highlight advantages of JetPackED
  • Engage with the entire JetPackED team to maintain focus on customers in schools and on preparation for scaling broader use of JetPackED

  • Pursue professional development to enhance the skills available on the team • Provide positive and constructive feedback to Head of Product and other team members to support their skill development and the overall skill base of the team. • Contribute to the field through writing, speaking, contributing, leading professional associations or collaboration groups. • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Psychology, or related fields required; Master’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred. • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales and organizational targets. • Embrace the mission of JetPackED and our approach to accelerating student learning. • Experience selling to system and school leaders to support academic achievement • Ability to be flexible and adaptive in a work environment that is constantly evolving. • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment • Perform a variety of specialized and responsible tasks: build and manage sales plans, execute campaigns and measure metrics.

    Compensation:

    Paid via 6-month contract and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
